Why HDR Photography?
Our standard photo session is the foundation of our service. Furthermore, this is where your visual marketing efforts begin — not only making positive first impressions and generating excitement for first-time visitors, but also providing genuine added value to your clients. To achieve this, we photograph every room with care, providing enough images to capture and portray the complete flow of the home.
HDR Plus Studio Lighting — The Digital Tour Host Difference
We photograph using a method known as High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography, shooting in multiple exposures per image, and layered in post-processing. This is a very effective method to compress the entire range of light, from shadows to highlights into a finalized image. Why is this important? Think of the human eye. It can adjust the opening in the retina as you look around from brights to darks, allowing you to see details. A camera cannot do that with a single exposure. HDR photography is the process of layering multiple exposures at varying time increments into very naturally pleasing results.
Unlike most other companies, Digital Tour Host additionally enhances HDR photography with off-camera light sources — and the added effort goes a long way toward producing truly exceptional results.
How Our Pricing Works
Standard Pricing is based on increments of square footage as found on public tax records, in terms of “Up To”. Instead, we base our fees entirely on square footage — not on the number of photographs or time spent on location. This is just easier and offers better results.

Interior Design Photo Session: Starting $250 per hour
For promotional shoots — such as interior design photography intended for web, print, or advertising — we charge an hourly rate starting at $250/hr rather than our standard square footage pricing. This photo session will highlight points from general space to specific features or product. Additional studio lighting will be provided as necessary. *Terms for additional image rights maybe required.
Optional Upgrades:
All optional upgrades below are designed to complement our standard NJ real estate photography pricing and can be added at the time of booking.
- 3D Tours with Floor Plans: This is achieved with a specialty 360° spherical camera.

- Single Spherical/360° Panoramas: As an alternative to an elaborate 3D tour, we strategically place panoramas in key locations to highlight the spatial flow of an area, allowing viewers to “look around” rather than “walk around.” We price panoramas at $20 each, three for $45 ($15 each), or $10 per room when booking five or more. Please note this option does not generate floor plans.
- Floor Plans without 3D Tours: $25 base plus 3¢ per sq foot measured.
- Drone Photography: $200.00 Drone photos are also in multiple-exposure HDR and the session includes multiple front angles, multiple rear angles, elevated images, and images of the surrounding area looking outward from the property.
- Walk-Thru Video: Starts at $275. We record your walk-thru video using Nikon Z9 full-frame mirrorless cameras on a gimbal with professional lighting, delivering a beautifully edited cinematic experience that we upload directly to your picture slide show. We can also post video files to the social media platforms of your choice. Book drone photography and a walk-thru video together for a discounted package price of $400.00. We recommend adding the Internet package for best results.
- Twilight Photography: $225. We typically spend an hour or more on site, capturing multiple series of images as the sun sets to ensure stunning results. Since no one can predict the perfect moment of light, we stay until we get the shot.
- MP4 Video Conversion: $15 branded or unbranded or $20 for both. This converts the online presentation into a downloadable MP4 video file.
- Virtual Staging: There are many competing companies that specialize specifically in virtual staging at very affordable pricing. Digital Tour Host does not believe in providing outsourced services as a middle-man and will be happy to provided recommendation where to enhance photography with virtual staging.
Added Fees:
Since basements do not appear in taxable square footage — the basis for our pricing — we handle them separately. For fully finished basements with multiple rooms requiring three or more shots, we move the total up to the next square footage tier. For example, a 2,200 sq ft home with a fully finished basement would fall under the 3,500 sq ft price point.
Lakefront or Landscaped Properties requiring Special Attention to features: $95.00 This may entail walking off-property and photographing from across a lake, for example.
Both Basement and Additional Exterior Work Together: $135.00
Duplexes: Standard fee applies to the overall square footage plus $35 per extra unit.
Condo/Townhouse Community Amenities: For communities that offer ball fields or courts, pool areas, social outdoor areas, and a notable community sign, we also photograph these amenities for an additional $25.00.
Minimum Fees:
Photo Session for distances greater than 35 miles or one-hour drive from Boonton, for Hudson County/Urban Cities, downtown Newark, NJ: $245 minimum for a single listing, including slide show. (Waived for two listings or more in a single day.)
Photo Session out of state: Minimum $300.00
